I am an associate professor of political science at Virginia Tech.  My research focuses on nuclear politics, U.S. foreign policy, and international relations theory. I teach classes on global politics, security studies, nuclear strategy, and conventional conflict.  I was a 2018-2019 Council on Foreign Relations International Affairs Fellow based at the United States Department of Defense.
